Toilet Repair
Many toilet problems can be repaired without replacing the entire fixture. We diagnose the cause first and repair the components responsible for the problem whenever practical.
- Running toilets
- Toilets that won't stop filling
- Weak or incomplete flushing
- Broken handles and internal components
- Fill valve and flush valve problems
- Flapper replacement
- Loose toilet components
Clogged Toilet Repair
A plunger can handle an occasional minor clog. Toilets that clog repeatedly, drain slowly, or cause problems elsewhere in the plumbing system deserve a closer look.
- Stubborn toilet clogs
- Recurring clogs
- Slow-draining toilets
- Toilets that won't flush properly
- Blockage diagnosis
- Drain and sewer-line troubleshooting
Leaking Toilet Repair
A toilet can leak from several locations, and some leaks aren't immediately obvious. We'll locate the source before recommending the repair.
- Leaks around the toilet base
- Tank-to-bowl leaks
- Supply line leaks
- Shutoff valve leaks
- Internal tank leaks
- Wax ring replacement
- Toilet reset and resealing
Toilet Replacement & Installation
When a toilet is damaged, inefficient, unreliable, or simply ready for an upgrade, we can remove the old fixture and professionally install the replacement.
- New toilet installation
- Toilet replacement
- Removal of the existing toilet
- Wax ring and seal installation
- Water supply connections
- Shutoff valve replacement when needed
- Final leak and operation testing
Why Does My Toilet Keep Clogging?
One isolated clog usually isn’t cause for concern. A toilet that repeatedly clogs is different.
Recurring toilet problems can be caused by more than what’s immediately inside the bowl.

The Toilet Itself
Older or poorly performing toilets may simply lack the flushing performance needed to reliably clear waste.

A Partial Drain Blockage
Material can remain inside the toilet trap or drain line, allowing water through while repeatedly catching waste and causing new clogs.

Something That Shouldn't Have Been Flushed
Wipes, paper towels, hygiene products, toys, and other objects can create stubborn or recurring blockages.

A Larger Drain or Sewer Problem
If toilets, tubs, or drains in multiple parts of the home are backing up or behaving strangely at the same time, the problem may extend beyond the toilet itself.

Repair the Toilet or Replace It?
A problem toilet doesn’t automatically mean you need a new one. Sometimes a relatively inexpensive component is all that’s standing between you and a properly working toilet.
Repair It
Repair is often the practical choice when:
✓ The toilet is otherwise in good condition
✓ The problem involves the flapper, fill valve, or flush valve
✓ The toilet has developed a minor leak
✓ The wax ring or supply connection needs attention
✓ This is the first significant problem
✓ Replacement parts are readily available
Replace It
Replacement may make more sense when:
✓ The porcelain bowl or tank is cracked
✓ The toilet requires frequent repairs
✓ Clogging has become an ongoing problem
✓ The fixture is unstable or badly worn
✓ The toilet performs poorly even after repairs
✓ You want to upgrade an older, inefficient toilet
The goal isn’t to sell you a new toilet when a repair will do the job. We’ll inspect the problem and explain both options when both make sense.

What Happens When You Call Pro Veterans Plumbing?
1. Tell Us What’s Happening
Let us know what the toilet is doing—running, leaking, clogging, rocking, overflowing, or simply not flushing correctly.
2. We Diagnose the Problem
We’ll inspect the toilet and related plumbing to determine what’s actually causing the issue rather than simply treating the symptom.
3. We Explain Your Options
If it can reasonably be repaired, we’ll tell you. If replacement makes better financial sense, we’ll explain why and let you make the decision.
4. We Get It Working Again
Once approved, we’ll complete the repair or installation, test the toilet for proper operation and leaks, and leave the work area clean.
Pro V Homeowner Tips
Watch for a Toilet That Runs Between Flushes
If you hear the toilet periodically refill when nobody has used it, water may be leaking from the tank into the bowl. A worn flapper or other internal component is often responsible.
Don't Treat the Toilet Like a Trash Can
Toilet paper and human waste are what residential toilets and drain systems are designed to handle. Wipes—even many labeled "flushable"—paper towels, hygiene products, cotton swabs, and similar materials can contribute to blockages.
Don't Ignore Movement at the Base
Your toilet shouldn't rock when you sit on it. Movement can damage the wax seal and eventually allow water to escape beneath the fixture.
Check Around the Base for Moisture
Water around the bottom of a toilet deserves attention. It could be condensation or spilled water—but it can also indicate a failed seal or another plumbing leak.
Know When a Plunger Isn't Enough
If the same toilet keeps clogging, multiple drains are affected, or plunging only temporarily solves the problem, there may be a blockage farther into the plumbing system.
PRO V HOT TIP
If flushing one toilet causes water to rise in a bathtub, shower, or another drain, stop repeatedly flushing. That can be a warning sign of a larger drain or sewer-line blockage.
